Day 1: Sunday – Welcome to Veneto!

  • Arrival in Lake Garda Region, Veneto (Pickup at Milan-Malpensa Airport).

  • Welcome reception for guests at our hotel, *****Villa Cordevigo Relais & Chateau Hotel and Spa with its Michelin Starred temple of Italian cuisine, Oseleta Restaurant led by Chef Marco Marras.

  • Dinner at Local Restaurant (lakeside?).

 

Day 2: Monday – Amarone! The Magic of Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone.

  • Breakfast.

  • Morning Visit Local Valpolicella Winery (Allegini / Bertani / Masi / Villa Spinosa / Tommasi / Lorenzo Begali / Zenato / Speri).

  • Lunch at Trattoria dalla Rosa Alda or Trattoria Alla Ruota.

  • Afternoon Visit to Local Valpolicella Winery? (F.lli Tedeschi / Brigaldara / Pasqua).

  • Dinner at Good Restaurant.

 

Day 3: Tuesday – Getting Out on Lake Garda.

  • Breakfast.

  • Morning Boat Tour Up Lake Garda.

  • Lunch at Good Restaurant.

  • Afternoon on Lake Garda (Boat Trip to Opposite Shore / Shopping, Exploration).

  • Dinner at Good Restaurant.

 

Day 4: Wednesday – A Day in Soave! Garganaga Greatness.

  • Breakfast.

  • Morning Visit to Soave Winery (Pieropan).

  • Exploring the village of Soave and its ancient castle.

  • Lunch at La Casara Roncolato in Soave. https://lacasara.shop/ Slow Food Delicatessen (table for 12) .

  • Afternoon Visit to Soave or Monforte d’Alpone Winery (Suavia / Prà / Anselmi).

  • Dinner at Good Restaurant.

 

Day 5: Thursday – A Day in Verona!

  • Breakfast.

  • Sightseeing Tour of Verona with Licensed Local Guide.

  • Lunch at Antica Bottega del Vino (Prestigious, centuries-old wine bar for tapas, Italian meals and a range of regional and national wines.)

  • Defined Time in Afternoon on One’s Own until Pickup at Rendezvous.

  • Dinner at Good Restaurant.

 

Day 6: Friday – A Toe in Trentino and Bardolino

  • Breakfast.

  • Morning Visit to Local Trentino Winery (Tenuta San Leonardo***).

  • Lunch at Locanda Perbellini al Lago.

  • Afternoon Visit to Vigneti Villabella (famous for their Bardolino Vigna Morlongo Montebaldo***).

  • Farewell Dinner.

 

Day 7: Saturday – Arrivederci!

  • Breakfast.

  • Departure to Milan-Malpensa Airport or Onward Travel.

Hemingway's Paris

 

Meet at metro Cardinal Lemoine to join in a guided walking tour of Hemingway's Paris where one will explore the Latin Quarter with the old houses of the Mouffetard market street, an impressive fragment of the medieval city wall, and the lovely historic church of St. Etienne-du-Mont, associated with many writers: Joyce, Orwell, Balzac, Hugo, Verlaine and immortalized by Hemingway in A Moveable Feast. Getting there: Cardinal Lemoine Station is on line 10 of the Paris Metro in the 5th arrondissement.

 

Paris Under Vine

 

Little known to tourists is the fact that Paris is home to numerous—albeit diminuative—working vineyards. Spread about the city are many so-called "secret" vineyards, but the four main plots are as follows.

  • Parc de Bercy (12th Arrondissement)

  • Clos de Belleville, Parc de Belleville (20th Arrondissement)

  • Clos des Morillons, Parc Georges-Brassens (15th Arrondissement)

  • Vigne de Montmartre (18th Arrondissement)

Other names include Coteaux de Suresnes (the city's only overtly commercial production), La Vigne de Bagatelle (in the 16th), and Vigne de la Butte-Bergeyre (in the 19th).
